Surfing Playa Kandahar, Mainland Mexico

Playa Kandahar,
The Boca, or rivermouth, is a 20 min. walk down the beach. It's wave changes with the seasons and acts like a typical rivermouth. Fun, fast and a few different take off spots.

Other nearby surf spots:

La Saladita, is a classic left point break and is swiftly making central Mexico the place to be. It is predominately a longboard wave, however, on it's good days many a shortboarder can be seen carving art work into the face. How to get there: hour walk or 30 minute car ride or 15 minute boat ride.

Troncones Point is another left point break that breaks over a reef. As you can imagine the take off can be a little hairy, with a visible reef under your feet, but after that the wave backs off and becomes considerably more manageable. How to get there: 30 minute walk, 10 minutes by car, to close to take a boat.

Troncones Beach Break is just that, beach break. Quick, fast, speedy, and your best chance for getting barreled. How to get there: 45 minute walk, 15 minutes by car, to close to walk.
